We Are Lagari
Lagari UAV Club is a competition team founded in 2016 by students under the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Yıldız Technical University, to work in the field of aviation and space.
Our priorities are to carry out R&D activities for the future of Türkiye, and to ensure the continuity of our team so that this work can be sustained.
Our mission is to aim high, to work persistently towards that goal, and to deliver ever more advanced projects each year with the experience we gain.

Founding
Lagari UAV Club was founded by students under the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Yıldız Technical University to work in the field of aviation and space.
First international competition: AUVSI SUAS
4th in the Technical Design Paper and 29th overall among 59 teams.
AUVSI SUAS — record target drop
5th in the mission ranking and 8th overall among 69 teams. The best target drop in the competition's 16-year history: within 1 metre of the target from an altitude of 40 metres, in autonomous flight.
AUVSI SUAS — world no. 1 in fixed wing
1st in the fixed-wing category and 3rd overall among 75 teams, ahead of teams from Harvard, Berkeley, Stanford, Cornell, UCLA, Penn State and Virginia Tech.
TEKNOFEST Fighter UAV championship
1st in the fixed-wing category of the Fighter UAV Competition, which had gone three years without a winner.
IMechE UAS Challenge and TEKNOFEST 2025
5th at the IMechE UAS Challenge in the UK; Best AI Application Award and 5th place at TEKNOFEST 2025 Fighter UAV with an original AI-based tracking system.
